The ADR20 Automatic Demand Response Controller is an enhanced Em20 Energy Monitor that provides a unique solution for the monitoring and control of energy demand in homes, offices and factories. Like the Em20, its enhanced technical features and accurate class 1 energy monitoring using our proprietary designed electronic circuitry and software developed in-house by Synctek to provide accurate, fast high resolution linear response under all load conditions. The ADR20 is a feature packed Meter that also monitors Electricity, Gas, Hot Water, Cold Water, PV Solar Energy and Water Tank Levels which can be used for Rain-water harvesting and grey water tanks.

Our research clearly shows that no other meter comes anywhere close in offering so many advanced features in a single din rail mounted device. All our meters are "real energy meters" with class 1 accuracy conforming to billing meter standards!  - they measure true RMS current, true RMS voltage, track voltage and phase fluctuations, power factor and take into account inductive or capacitive loads found in almost every common appliance such as air conditioners, fridges, washing machines, fans, vacuum cleaners, electronic goods, fluorescent lights, compact fluorescent lamps and any device with a motor.

The ADR20 has built-in Automatic Demand Response (ADR) control firmware that provides ten channels of fully automatic peak demand limiting or load shedding control - designed specifically for avoiding higher billing tariffs and penalties, so commonly applied by energy distributors today. The ADR20 contains a fully automatic ten level prioritised maximum demand monitor and ADR controller that is designed to save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars in harsh and excessive penalty rates that are now very common with most energy distributors. Consider the following facts:

  • Energy Costs are continually soaring to enormous levels and this trend will no doubt continue given that governments and energy retailers are implementing exotic billing structures and tariffs designed to force consumers to reduce energy consumption while at the same time maximize their retail profits. Ongoing government privatisation of energy sectors will continue to make things worse for consumers.
  • The introduction of Carbon Pricing and or Emissions Trading schemes has already significantly increased your energy costs and the introduction of new tariff schemes along with stiff penalties are the main tools that governments and retailers are using, importantly this trend will continue!
  • Most Energy Distributors now heavily penalise commercial & industrial users when they exceed certain levels of maximum power demand and their billing rates are often set based on these maximum demand levels. The Em20 with ADR option or the ADR20 Load Shedding system can be used for domestic, commercial and industrial applications, including the control of  HVAC systems, lighting, air conditioning, heating, manufacturing plants and building automation systems.  One or more Em20 / ADR20 units can be stationed within different building area's and or in sectionalised manufacturing plants or sectors to automatically shed non-critical loads in a fully automatic standalone and prioritised manner. It may be used to automatically limit peak power demands during building plant power-up or factory start-up conditions when power demand requirements are the highest.

The ADR20 or Em20 with ADR option may be also used for Standby or Emergency Energy Systems such as Diesel/Gas powered back-up generators used in commercial buildings, hospitals and factories.
